Cassie is the Founder and CEO of Career Confidence, an award winning military to civilian transition resume writing firm dedicated to helping service members, veterans, and military spouses secure meaningful, well paid civilian careers. She is a Certified Professional Resume Writer and Certified Veteran Career Strategist with more than a decade of experience translating military experience into clear, compelling civilian narratives.

Over the last 10+ years, Cassie has worked closely with the military community, specializing in executive and senior leader resumes that cut through jargon and position clients as competitive candidates. Her work has been recognized nationally, including winning the Modernize Your Resume Contest for a Military Executive Resume.

As a military brat herself, Cassie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Outside of Career Confidence, she is raising two young daughters with her husband while managing a 40-acre homestead in the mountains of Colorado. The family is currently building an Earthship and Hempcrete hybrid home and shares the land with a rotating cast of animals, including chickens, goats, pigs, turkeys, barn cats, and a livestock guard dog. Her favorite way to unwind is gardening and reading.

Aurora Tallent serves as the Client Services Administrator at Career Confidence and is a Coast Guard spouse with a strong background in client support and project coordination. She brings prior experience from organizations such as Blue Star Families, where she supported military connected professionals through complex transitions.

At Career Confidence, Aurora is the operational backbone of the client experience. She keeps workflows organized, ensures timely and clear communication, and helps clients fully understand the value and strategy behind our services. From onboarding through delivery, Aurora ensures each client feels informed, supported, and confident throughout their transition.

As a military spouse herself, Aurora understands the realities of frequent relocations, career pivots, and the need for clarity and continuity in a job search. Her attention to detail, empathy, and commitment to excellence help ensure every client receives a seamless, high quality service experience.

When Cassie is not writing resumes, my husband and I juggle two daughters; a spunky threenager and a one-year-old. We also manage a 40-acre homestead in central Colorado with 20+ chickens, six goats, a pig, two dogs, and a year-round garden (intense sun, wind, and dry environment permitting).

Right now my main focus is raising good little humans and showing them they can be successful working mothers and incredible stewards to the environment. My husband and I share a dream to live more sustainably which includes a passive solar home near Salida, Colorado.

I enjoy nearly any time of exercise including running, biking, swimming, yoga, and hiking. I cook 95% of our meals because we live 30 minutes from the nearest pizza place, so I enjoy getting creative in the kitchen. I also have a large garden every year with tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, cucumbers, carrots, beans, beats, buckwheat, herbs, lettuce, radishes, and almost every variety of zucchini you can imagine. In LBK (life before kids) I enjoyed hunting, long motorcycle rides, skiing, fishing, scuba diving, and sewing.
